Ultimate Frisbee is a team sport in which tactics, technique, fitness, but especially teamwork and fair play are important. The game is played outdoors with two teams of seven players and indoors with five players. You score by catching the disc in the end zone of the opponent. Because you are not allowed to run with the disc, the team in offence must constantly try to get free. If the disc is intercepted or hits the ground, offence and defense teams switch. The sport is self-regulating. Even at the highest levels, games are played without a referee.

There are different types of throws; the back-hand (that’s how most people on the beach do it), side-arm, or overhead. It is even possible to throw the disc with an S-curve with an inside-out throw.
