Deze week mochten we 2 leuke clinics geven tijden de @pantarijnweek. Tijdens deze clinics hebben we de leerlingen (en een verdwaalde leraar) kennis laten maken met de sport Ultimate Frisbee en onze club. Ondanks dat de kerstvakantie voor de deur stond, werd er fanatiek gespeeld en werden er veel mooie acties gemaakt. Op naar meer frisbee tijdens de gym lessen!?

🏃‍♂️ Wat is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate is een snelle, non-contact teamsport waarin je met een frisbee probeert te scoren in de eindzone van de tegenstander. Het lijkt op een mix van voetbal, korfbal en rugby – maar dan met een geheel eigen karakter.

What to eat during game day. An example:
- pasta with veggies and protein for energy, vitamins and… well… protein.
- bread with peanutbutter and hagelslag. For being Dutch.
- magnesium against the cramps
- electrolytes and sugars for the muscles and energy
- some salty snack to balance the sweets (and more salts replenishment)
- bananas fir being athletes
- vlugge japie (or any ontbijtkoek) for emergency fuel
- coke for a quick boost
- loads of water
- apple pie for the team

This weekend @jonna2105 went to Vienna to represent Discover while playing with @amsterdam_ultimate_club_ at the European Masters Championships (by @ultimatefederation_eu) and she came back with a bronze medal! What an achievement. Congrats Jonna!
Soon we will start the Dutch mixed competition and we're proud to have Jonna as one of our captains in her home squad again ❤️
